CMAT 2024 Exam to be held today (May 15) in two shifts: Check Important Do’s & Don’ts

CMAT 2024 exam is being conducted today (May 15) in two shifts. The first shift of CMAT 2024 xam started at 9.00 AM and ends at 12.00 Noon. The second shift of CMAT exam starts at 3.00 PM and ends at 6.00 PM. National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued CMAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines for Candidates. CMAT 2024 Exam Day Tips & Do’s and Don’ts restrict the candidates from wearing electronic watches or carrying the mobile phone, bag, wallets, electronic gadgets, stationary items inside the testing hall. You need to adhere to the following 5 important CMAT exam day guidelines and instructions issued by NTA. Check these important Do’s and Don’ts to have a smooth exam experience.

1. Check Your CMAT 2024 Exam Slot & Reporting Time

Before proceeding to exam centre, you should check your CMAT exam slot and time. NTA is conducting CMAT-2024 Examination in two shifts as per following schedule:

NTA has released the CMAT exam pattern 2024 with number and type of questions, and scoring scheme as below:

• CMAT 2024 is a 5 Section exam
• Each section has 20 MCQ type questions
• Each correct answer is awarded +4 marks
• Each wrong answer is penalized with -1 negative marking
• NTA advises to make sure while marking correct answer

3. Download Admit Card & Take Print

Download your Admit Card from the NTA’s website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/ with your CMAT application number and password or Application number and Date of birth. Also Read How to Download CMAT Admit card. NTA also advises to visit the Examination Centre a day before the examination to familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time. Check and confirm following Details in the Admit Card:

• Reporting Time at Centre
• Gate Closing time of Centre 
• Date of Examination 
• Test Timings 
• Venue of Test 

4. Documents & Articles You Must Carry: Important Do’s for CMAT Exam Day

To appear in the exam, you are required to Carry with you following items to CMAT Exam Center:

• Admit Card on a clear colour printout on A4 size paper
• One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre
• A valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/ Bank Passbook with Photograph). 
• Please note that ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres, AADHAR enrollment receipt without AADHAR NUMBER and PHOTOCOPIES OR Images Stored in mobile phones etc will NOT be accepted
• No Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without identity verification
• PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category. 
• Reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of Centre, you will not be allowed to enter in the Test venue. 
• A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
• Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
• Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
• Personal transparent water bottle
• Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

5. Avoid to Carry the Following: Key Don’ts for CMAT Exam Day

Following items should not be carried to exam centre as they are not allowed nor there may be any provision for safe keeping of valuables at the Test Centre.  

• Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material)
• No Eatables and Water (loose or packed) are allowed
• No Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, or any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room 

6. NTA Guidelines for Testing Room

Below are the important testing hall instructions and guidelines as issued by NTA for CMAT 2024 test takers

• Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. 
• Write Your name and Roll Number at the top of the sheet and must return the sheets and Admit Card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination Hall/Room.
• Enter required details in the Attendance Sheet in legible handwriting
• Put your signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression and paste the Photograph at the appropriate place. Ensure that Your Left Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged. 
• No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. The candidature of candidates in case of impersonation will be automatically cancelled

Important Points to Note for CMAT Exam Day

• All candidates will start the test at the same time when the invigilator signals to start.

• Candidates are to remain at their seats for the entire duration of the test even if they complete their test early.
• There is no sectional time constraint. Candidates can move among the 5 sections of the exam during the 3 hours time
• For any issues during the test, you are supposed to raise your hand to notify the invigilator.
• Stay seated and explain the issue to the invigilator who approaches you. Under no circumstance, should you move from your seat until the end of exam time.
