IRMASAT 2022 exam pattern is completely changed and for admission 2022 IRMA will conduct Written Ability Test (WAT) instead of IRMASAT with time duration of 30 minutes after shortlisting the candidates for final selection round. The WAT in place of IRMASAT will be held from February 15 to 28, 2022 in three modes as a part of final selection process.
Key Changes in IRMASAT Pattern
- IRMASAT 2022 is replaced by WAT 2022. Earlier, before conducting IRMASAT Entrance exam, IRMA shortlisted the candidates on the basis of CAT and XAT scores for IRMASAT. For admission 2022 also, IRMA will shortlist the students based on CAT 2021/XAT 2022 exam score for its PGDM (RM) programme.
- WAT carries a weightage of 5% in final selection
- Unlike IRMASAT which had 80 minutes duration, WAT has a time duration of 30 minutes
- Unlike a computer based IRMASAT, the WAT at IRMA is a paper pen based test
- Now, the shortlisted candidates for IRMA Admission 2022 shall have to appear in WAT instead of earlier IRMASAT 2022 exam
- If a candidate has appeared both in CAT 2021 and XAT 2022 exams, IRMA will consider higher score in shortlisting the candidates for WAT & PI

With scrapping of IRMASAT from its final selection process for PGDM (RM) admission 2022, IRMA has introduced and replaced it with Written Ability Test (WAT) and awards 5% weightage to it in final selection. The process is at par with other top B-schools which conduct WAT and PI in their final admission round.
