4.2 Top IIM Placements 2023 with Average Salary above Rs.20 LPA
IIM Shillong, IIM Raipur, IIM Udaipur among others have registered average salary between Rs.20 LPA and Rs.27 LPA. Surprisingly, the average salary at IIM Raipur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur have gone up by Rs.6 to 7 LPA in two years. Check Table Below

4.3. IIMs Placements 2023 with Average Salary Going upto Rs.19 LPA

Among the IIMs which missed the Rs.20 LPA Average Salary bar by less than Rs.2 lakhs are IIM Rohtak and IIM Kashipur. However, the way their average salary is rising by Rs.2 lakhs every year, it is expected that they would join club 20 LPA next year. 4.5 Fastest Growing IIMs by Average Salary Packages in Placements
Leaving behind the older siblings, baby IIMs like IIM Sambalpur has registered highest increase of 31.6% in average salary, followed by IIM Bodhgaya with 29% increase. IIM Indore and IIM Jammu each has registered 21% rise in average salary. IIM Shillong, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Raipur, IIM Kashipur have recorded 14% to 20% increase in average salary in placements 2023. The table below lists the fastest growing IIMs by placements:

4.6 Top 10 IIMs by Highest Salary
Although the highest salary is offered to one or two students, the highest salary offered at an IIM campus often makes newspaper headlines. In the table below, the highest domestic salary registered by the IIMs in MBA placements 2023 is taken into account. It may be noted that IIM Bangalore has not released its highest salary and IIM Ahmedabad will release the salary data in September 2023 after IPRS Audit. As such both of these top IIMs have not been included among the top IIMs by highest salary in 2023.

4.7. Top Recruiters in IIM Placements 2023
Almost all the IIMs conducted their placement process for 2021-23 batch in person and as such the companies also preferred to visit the IIM campus for placements instead of online assessment for the recruitment. IIMs have registered not only higher salary packages but also more number of recruiters at the campus in placement 2023. Some of the top recruiters that visited IIM campus for placements 2023 include - Accenture, Bain & Company, BCG, Deloitte, E&Y, GEP, HCL Tech, Infosys, Kearney, KPMG, McKinsey, PwC, Axis Bank, Bank Of America, Barclays, CITI Bank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, JSW, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aditya Birla Group, Microsoft, ITC, HUL among others

5. IIM Admission Process
IIM Admission process has following four steps:

• Apply and appear in CAT exam. IIM-CAT is the mandatory MBA entrance exam for admission to all the IIMs and all the IIMs open and close their admission process simultaneously with the opening and closing of CAT registration dates
• After declaration of CAT result in January, IIMs shortlist the suitable candidates for final admission round on the basis of CAT exam scores, academics, diversity, work experience among other parameters
• All the shortlisted candidates shall have to appear in the Written Ability Test (WAT) followed by Personal Interview (PI).
• On the basis of performance of candidates in final selection round, final merit list will be generated and admission offers will be made by the respective IIM
