IIM Raipur Placement 2024: Completes 100% Placement; Average Salary Dips by 6% at Rs.19.70 LPA; Accenture, Cognizant, L&T, E&Y, hire big

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur has successfully completed 100% Final Placements for its PGP 2022-24 batch. The participating batch of students witnessed marquee recruiters taking part in the campus recruitment process. The students were offered various coveted roles in the areas of Finance, Sales and Marketing, Strategy & Consulting, Operations, General Management and HR.  

Owing to the diversity in academic background and work experience of the students. Backed by strong industrial relations, the placement season of 2024 for PGP batch 2022-24 witnessed an overwhelming participation from previous recruiters along with a host of new recruiters vying for some of the country’s best minds at IIM Raipur despite the grim economic slowdown. The students of IIM Raipur have been successful in attracting industry stalwarts indicated by the variety of offers secured.

Like most of the 2^nd generation IIMs that witnessed dip in average salary in Placement 2024, IIM Raipur is no exception. Unlike previous years rising trends in average salary, placement 2024 at IIM Raipur witnessed 6% dip in average salary which has gone down at Rs.19.70 LPA from Rs.21.04 LPA last year. The good news is that most of the second-generation IIMs have completed their MBA placements 2024. Dip in Average Salary is the highest for IIM Raipur (6%), while IIM Ranchi has reported good  increase in its average salary.

IIM Raipur has witnessed consistently high salary offers in each placement season and the placement records of IIM Raipur have steadily improved in the last five-six years. The large batch size at IIM Raipur was no deterrent in final Placement 2023. On the contrary IIM Raipur witnessed its regular recruiters coming back alongwith new recruiters among 107 recruiting companies who participated in Placement 2023. The institute continues to ride high on its strong relationship with the corporate, with organizations from different sectors expressing interest in recruitment. The batch of 2021-23 consisted of students from diverse academic backgrounds and work experience. The future leaders have proved their mettle at every opportunity presented to them.

Sector -Wise Placement
IIM Raipur was able to diversify its recruiting base into all sectors of the economy in placement 2023. The offers are well spread out across sectors with Banking Financial Services & Insurance Sector (BFSI), IT/ITES, Consulting, Manufacturing among others.

The highest number of students (32 percent) were recruited in the Banking Financial Service and Insurance (BFSI) sector with an average CTC and maximum CTC of Rs 21.02 LPA and Rs 32.50 LPA, respectively, followed by IT/ITES which was the second-highest (23 percent) recruiting sector with Rs 21.29 LPA as average and a maximum CTC offered at Rs 43.43 LPA. IIM Raipur Awards MBA Degree Instead of Diploma
After implementation of IIM ACT 2017, IIM Raipur has started conferring MBA degree to its students of flagship 2 years PGP programme instead of Post Graduate Diploma. The PGP Batch 2021-23 at IIM Raipur is also awarded MBA degree. It will help the passing out students to explore higher education opportunities in International Universities who require MBA degree in place of diploma.
