XLRI Jamshedpur has appointed its long serving Professor of Economics and Chairperson Centre for Rural Management, Dr Vishwa Ballabh as the Convener of XAT 2023 Exam. Immediately after taking over as XAT Convener, Dr Vishwa Ballabh shared his priorities with MBAUniverse.com. XAT is the second largest MBA entrance exams leading to MBA/PGDM admission in 140+ B-schools in India.
Prof Vishwa Ballabh Appointed as XAT 2023 Convener

XLRI Jamshedpur, one of India’s top 10 B-schools, has appointed Prof Vishwa Ballabh as the Convenor of XAT 2023. XAT is the second largest MBA entrance exams leading to MBA/PGDM admission in 140+ B-schools in India. Expected exam date of XAT 2023 is January 8, 2023. Prof Vishwa Ballabh has held the responsibility of XAT Convenor for many previous years in past.

While speaking to MBAUniverse.com, Prof Vishwa Ballabh confirmed his appointed as the new XAT Convenor. He said, “I am happy that XLRI has given this opportunity to me again.” When asked about his priorities for XAT, Prof Vishwa Ballabh said, “My priority will be that every MBA/ PGDM aspirants to know about the XAT test, and why they should appear in the XAT”

Prof Vishwa Ballabh is the Professor of Economics and Chairperson Centre for Rural Management, XLRI, Jamshedpur since 2006. He has served as RBI Chair Professor, and also as Professor, Institute of Rural Management, Anand.  He is an MSc. Ag in Rural Banking & Agricultural Economics with specialisation in Production & Rural Finance and is a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics,

XAT 2023 – A Unique Exam with Feel of Management Admission Test
Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a unique exam and has many distinct features in its pattern which require good understanding of its structure. Another key priority of the XAT convener, Dr Ballabh is to spread more awareness on XAT 2023 exam. He said, “Every MBA aspirant should know that XAT is a unique test, and it contains a section called decision making which makes you feel that you are appearing for admission to management programmes.”

XAT is the mandatory entrance exam for admission to XLRI and is one of the largest MBA Entrance Exams after CAT. Every year more than 1,00,000 candidates from all disciplines including Engineering, Commerce, Humanities, Science, Law apply and appear in XAT exam to get into of the various MBA programs offered by 140+ top B-schools. Over the years, XAT exam has become an easier test but to get a high percentile (90+) in XAT 2023 exam requires 4-5 months of serious preparation.
